Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Adamawa state governor, has honoured Justin Madugu, Super Falcons coach, with a three-bedroom bungalow as reward for guiding the team to their 10th WAFCON title.
Fintiri also added the sum of ₦50 million cash to the house given to the gaffer.
Madugu was celebrated by the governor at the government house in Yola, on Friday. He said said that he had always believed in Madugu’s capacity since he was appointed as head coach of the Falcons.
“It is a proud moment for us in Adamawa that one of our own has led Nigeria to victory on the continental stage,” the governor said.
“From the moment he was appointed, I never doubted his capacity. His technical intelligence and calm leadership brought honour not just to Nigeria but to Adamawa State,” he added.
Madugu led the Falcons to a remarkable 10th WAFCON title, and was announced as the best coach of the tournament. His girls scored 14 goals and conceded 3 goals; the best attacking and defensive record in the tournament.
