The draws for the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Championship have been unveiled.
In a draw conducted virtually from the NWFL Secretariat in Abuja, 17 clubs were paired across four groups.
The Championship will be held in Umuahia and Abiriba, both in Abia State. The state capital Umuahia will host group A1 and A2 while Abiriba will host group B1 and B2. The winners of each group will get automatic qualification to the 2025/2026 NWFL Premiership.
In Umuahia, Group A1 has Royal Queens, Gallant Queens, Castmog Ladies and First Mahi babes. Group A2 has Sunshine Queens, Fortress Ladies, Unification FC and Kwara Ladies.
In Abiriba, Group B1 has Pelican Stars, Ahudiyannem Queens, Wazbak International and Chosen Generation Angels while Group B2 has Osun Babes, Ghetto Tigers, Moje Queens, Delta Babes and Imo Striker Queens.
The NWFL Championship will run from September 11 to 21, 2025.
