Amanda Anisimova beat Iga Swiatek in three sets to progress to the semifinal of the WTA Finals.

The Wimbledon and US Open finalist progressed to the semifinal with 6-7 6-4 6-2 win over the world number two in Riyadh to join Elena Rybakina in the knockout stages.

Wednesday’s meeting between both players is their third in 2025. Swiatek beat Anisimova 6-0 6-0 in the Wimbledon final before Anisimova exacted her revenge in the US Open last eight duel.

The undefeated Rybakina finished top in the Serena Williams Group with a 6-4 6-4 win over Ekaterina Alexandrova who was a late replacement for Madison Keys.

The top eight women players in the singles and doubles are competing in Saudi Arabia for a £12m prize money. Rybakina has so far made a strong statement and is now on a nine-match winning streak.

In the Stefanie Graf Group, world number one, Aryna Sabalenka will go to battle with defending champion, Coco Gauff in what is expected to be a final before the final. Jessica Pegula will face Jasmine Paolini who is already eliminated.
