The new Executive Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Taiwo Lekan-Salami has promised to bring immediate changes to the club.

Speaking to players and officials of the club on Sunday morning before their departure to Lagos for the Eko International Cup 2025, Salami said plans are underway to give the team a befitting hostel and other facilities they need to be a club in the elite league.

“I have lots of lofty plans for this club. We will build a permanent site for Shooting Stars before the end of this administration, we will have hostel so that all of you will be together, not that some people will be here and others there, under me, that will stop,” he said.

“There will be training pitches, gym, lounge, restaurant, coaches’ hostel and other facilities that will make it a very conducive place,” he assured them.

Lekan-Salami further revealed that he is already discussing with sponsors and private investors to come in and invest in Shooting Stars.

“I am already talking to the government, I have told the governor to give me a land, I want to build a permanent site. If the government does not have money to build it, no problem, just give me the land,” said Salami

“I’m already talking to sponsors, that’s why you have not been seeing me. I’m moving and talking to sponsors to come and invest in Shooting Stars and we will give them sponsorship rights like jerseys and pitch panels, and on our buses, those conversations are going on,” he added.

He tasked the players to play their own part, as they will boost the image of the club and attract investment if they do well in the coming seasons.
