Aba, Abia State will host the 2025 World Teqball Championship Qualifiers from October 15th to 18th, SportResonance.com reports.
The tournament is a qualifying tournament for the Teqball World Championship. Last year, the qualifiers were played in Aba and it makes a return for a second year running.
A total of 13 referees, 18 coaches, 66 athletes (23 female and 43 male) from 18 states from the six geopolitical zones will compete for a place at the world cup. The players will represent states, not play as individuals.
Winners in the five categories; the men’s singles, women singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles and mixed doubles will represent Nigeria in the Technical World Championship slated for Europe in December, 2025.
The participating states as approved by the International Federation of Teqball, FITEQ are: Abia, Niger, Ondo, Jigawa, Rivers, Oyo, Anambra, Delta, Imo, Enugu, Gombe, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Edo, Kwara, Bayelsa, Plateau and Kogi.
