The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the number of medals which teams finishing first to fourth at AFCON would get.
Winners of the tournament will receive a total of 50 gold medals for players and officials while the runners-up will get 50 silver medals.
The team which finished in third-place will be awarded 50 bronze medals too. There will also be 50 certificates of recognition for the team which finished fourth.
CAF has also approved a welfare package for match officials at the tournament. The match officials will be entitled to economy-class air travel to and fro the tournament.
Referees and assistant referees will receive a daily allowance of USD200 for a maximum period of 20 days, in line with CAF’s operational framework for the tournament in Morocco.
