Preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) are gradually gathering momentum as ten Super Eagles players have reported to the team’s camp in Cairo, Egypt.
Cyprus based goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho led the arrivals, checking in first at the team’s transit base, the Renaissance Hotel in Cairo, early Sunday morning.
He was later joined by fellow shot-stopper Stanley Nwabali, with both players becoming the early birds in camp on Sunday morning.
Midfielders Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro subsequently reported for duty, later in the day.
In the early hours of Monday, six more invitees arrived to further swell the camp. Goalkeeper Amas Obasogie, defenders Semi Ajayi, Igho Ogbu and Bright Osayi-Samuel, winger Ademola Lookman, and midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi were all received by members of the technical crew and team officials.
With the latest arrivals, ten players are now on ground as the Super Eagles’ build-up to the continental tournament continues.
More players are expected to arrive in the coming hours as the preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) commence in full scale.
Nigeria will remain in Cairo for a brief period, during which they are scheduled to face Egypt in a preparatory friendly on Tuesday, before heading to Morocco for the main tournament.
The coaching crew have invited a total of twenty eight players for the assignment as the Super Eagles chase glory in Morocco.
