Trent Alexander-Arnold, Real Madrid’s right back, will be out of action for about two months after a thigh injury, sportresonance.com reports.

The former Liverpool player sustained the injury during Real Madrid’s victory over Athletic Club. He has made just 11 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions this season.

He got his first La Liga assist in Real’s 3-0 victory in Bilbao on Wednesday. He injured his thigh in the second half and left the pitch after assistance from the team’s medical staff.

He will be out for two months and will make a return in February, when Real Madrid will be on the homestretch in the various competitions.

Alexander-Arnold returned from a hamstring injury which sidelined him for six weeks. Dani Carvajal is injured until 2026. Federico Valverde may have to fill the space again and play as a full back until both natural full backs return.
