Arsenal have apologised to Atletico Madrid after the Spanish club complained of not having access to hot water at the Emirates Stadium.

Atletico Madrid filed a complaint with UEFA over the lack of hot water in their dressing rooms for their training session ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League game against Arsenal at the Emirates.

UEFA rules allow visiting teams teams to train in the home stadium the night before Champions League matches.

Atletico trained at the stadium on Monday evening at 6:30 p.m local time. After their training session, they arrived at their rooms and noticed that there was no hot water and went back to their hotel to shower. The issue was resolved about 40 minutes after but the Spanish side had already lodged a complaint with UEFA.

Arsenal will host Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night. The London club have won their two Champions League games without conceding a goal while Atletico have lost one and won one.
