Bayelsa Queens Football Club has announced the signing of Imo Striker Queens player, Harmony Chidi on loan.

The club unveiled the player on Wednesday. Harmony Chidi just recovered from a long-term injury which kept her out of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup squad.

She was part of the Nigeria U17 Women’s team to the World Cup in 2024. Bayelsa Queens have unveiled many players for the new season as they prepare for the new season.

Speaking at the unveiling of the player at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Robin Apreala said the player will boost the team’s bid for a continental ticket.

“We have decided to recruit new players, whom we feel have what it takes to help us achieve our set goals. Coupled with the quality of players and support of the Bayelsa State Government and other stakeholders, we believe we can achieve our target,” he said.

Bayelsa Queens failed to qualify to the CAF Women’s champions League after losing 8-7 on penalties to ASEC Mimosas in the WAFU ZONE B qualifiers.
