Black Queens of Ghana coach, Kim Lars Björkegren has tipped the Super Falcons to win the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) if they play to their potential.

He spoke in a post match press conference after his side beat South Africa 4-3 on penalties to win bronze. He said that Nigeria has quality and can also play with a second team.

“I think it’s going to be an interesting game. They are a little bit different. I think maybe potentially more quality in Nigeria. I would say there are so many good players in Nigeria.

“Nigeria can probably play with the second team and also win the tournament with the second team. That’s my opinion,” he said.

His team lost to Nigeria in a warmup game in Morocco and also lost the semifinal to Morocco. Having played against both sides, he also believes Morocco has potential.

“But Morocco is also very organized. So if Nigeria is not showing up, then Morocco will win. But my feeling is they’re going to do it, and I put $1 on Nigeria.”

The final comes up at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, 9pm Nigerian time
