English Championship side Birmingham City have confirmed the signing of Super Eagles right back, Bright Osayi-Samuel on a three-year deal.
The former Fenerbahçe defender returns to England where he once played for Queens Park Rangers. Osayi’s move to Besiktas failed to pull through and the 27-year-old has now made a surprise move to St Andrews.
Birmingham City have shown intention to compete this season following the signing of Demarai Gray, James Beadle and Tommy Doyle before now adding Osayi-Samuel.
Osayi-Samuel made his professional debut for Blackpool at 17 and was a prominent member of the squad which won promotion to the championship.
For QPR, he had a longer time, making a memorable 103 appearances in the championship. For the Super Eagles, Osayi-Samuel was part of Jose Peseiro’s team which finished as runners-up at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
