The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and PUMA have unveiled ‘ITRI’ as the official match ball for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
The official match ball features traditional Moroccan zellij geometric patterns. The designs fuses centuries-old craftsmanship with PUMA orbita 6 technology.
The ball design draws inspiration from Morocco’s zellij art form, renowned for its mosaic. CAF said this design symbolizes the “unity and passion of African football across the continent.”
“Star geometry symbolizes ambition, light, and the pursuit of excellence on Africa’s biggest footballing stage. Petal shapes represent celebration, growth and the festive spirit that defines TotalEnergies CAF AFCON. Circular symmetry reflects the unity of the 24 nations coming together for the tournament,” said CAF’s official release.
The match ball will make its debut at the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Morocco 2025, which kicks off on 21 December 2025.
