CAF to conduct final round of CHAN venue inspections

CAF has launched a final round of host nation inspections and readiness workshops in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, just weeks before the start of the delayed 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), sportresonance.com reports.

‎The continent’s football ruling body will continue its assessment in other host cities, including Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), Kampala (Uganda), and Zanzibar.

CAF team had concluded their first inspection at the Nairobi’s Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani on Friday, where the newly refurbished 50,000-seater stadium has been confirmed ready to host CHAN Group A matches and the tournament’s final on 30th August, 2025.

The delegation is expected to conduct a series of workshops with Local Organising Committee (LOC) departments, focusing on key operational areas like broadcasting, safety and security, logistics, and team transport services.

Sport Resonance gathered that final evaluations and an offer of  recommendations to enable seamless and a hitch free tournament will be made for any outstanding improvements.
