The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the new trophy for the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN).
CAF unveiled the trophy on Friday. The trophy reveal featured Victor Wanyama of Kenya, Dennis Onyango of Uganda and Mrisho Ngasa of Tanzania.
Remarkably, the tournament is hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania; the countries of the three icons featured in the trophy reveal. The icons were also featured in a special video released to mark the occasion.
CAF said the new trophy launch is part of a wider rebrand of the CHAN tournament. The new trophy is designed to highlight the deep cultural roots, unity and footballing excellence which define the tournament and its place in the African football ecosystem.
A central feature of the design is a series of 54 lines encircling the trophy, each representing the continent’s member associations. The tournament is set for August 2-30th 2025.
