CAF’s general secretary visits Gusau on his assumption of office as WAFU B president

Veron Mosengo-Omba, the general secretary of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has joined the list of dignitaries to visit Ibrahim Musa Gusau as he begins his reign as the president of the WAFU B sub-region.

Gusau who assumed office on tuesday at the WAFU B headquarters in the Cocody Rivera 4 area of Abidjan, Ivory Coast, had the compliment of various dignitaries and representatives from member-associations witnessed the transition of leadership.

Recall that the NFF president succeeded Edwin Simeon-Okraku of Ghana, who resigned as WAFU B president in April. Simeon-Okaraku left the post to resume as the second vice-president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Football lovers believes Gusau’s leadership will bridge the gap in West African football, and equally serve as a catalyst for new competitions, increased youth engagement, and greater unity within the sub-region.

‎Veron Mosengo-Omba’s visit alongside President of Ivorian Football Federation, Idris Diallo, will be a major boost serves as support for Gusau, in his bid to chart a new course and to anchor the future direction of football within the region.
