Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal’s star striker, has extended his contract with Al Nassr FC, a Saudi Pro League side until 2027.

The 40-year-old former Real Madrid forward, confirmed this on his X handle on Thursday.

“A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history together,” Ronaldo posted.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who joined the Riyadh-based club in 2022 after leaving Manchester United to become a free agent, has netted 99 goals in 115 appearances for them in all competitions.

With the two-years contract extension at the club, he is well on his way to reaching 1,000 senior goals in his career — his tally so far for club and country stands at 938.

Ronaldo scored 35 times in 41 matches across all competitions last term and was the league’s top scorer for a second consecutive season.
