D’Tigers of Nigeria pulled off another scintillating performance, beating Cameroon in a tightly contested tussle to earn it’s third consecutive win at the ongoing Men’s AfroBasket Championship in Angola.
The start of the game was a cagey affair for both teams, but it was the D’Tigers that held onto a 28-27 points lead at the end of the 1st quarter.
D’Tigers went on and extended their lead with a commanding 32-16 run in the second quarter, heading into the break with a commanding 17-points advantage.
Nigeria did not let up in the third quarter, dominating with a 26-12 scoring spree to extend the lead.
However, Cameroon mounted a massive comeback in the fourth quarter, outscoring Nigeria 37-15.
Despite the Indomitable Lions’ spirited rally, the D’Tigers held on for a nine-point victory, preserving their unbeaten record.
They have been dominant throughout the tournament and have advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2025 Afrobasket championship in Angola.
