Francis Nwifuru, Ebonyi State Governor, has gifted 30 million naira to Munachi Ejiofor.
Nwifuru gave her cash and duplex as a daughter of the state for being a part of the victorious D’Tigress team which won the 2025 Women’s Afrobasket title.
The Governor said Munachi has brought prestige to the nation and the state by being a part of the D’Tigress team which won a historic five consecutive Afrobasket titles.
He praised her as a worthy ambassador of the state and thereby inducted her into the Ebonyi hall of fame.
“In recognition of her accomplishments and in fulfilment of one of the tenets of our mandate – to encourage a reward system for outstanding servants of the State, Blessing Munachi Ejiofor has been inducted into the State’s Hall of Fame as Member, Ebonyi Hall of Fame (MEHF),” the governor said.
“Additionally, the State has made a donation of Thirty Million Naira (₦30,000,000.00) to her and a duplex in our ongoing Civil and Public Servants Estate opposite Chiboy Motors.”
The Governor also approved the sum of 50 million naira for the State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to build a professional basketball court for young basketball players in the state, in honour of Munachi who empowers youths through her foundation, the Muna Foundation Girls Empowerment Camp.
