Stanley Eguma, Enyimba’s Head Coach says his immediate target for the club is to win the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.
The former Rivers United manager spoke to the club’s official website, Enyimbafc.net as the team continues their preseason preparation and are currently in the semifinal of the Tico Select preseason tournament.
“Enyimba as a team have a target. And as a coach, an ambitious one at that, I equally have a target. My target should be to win the league title or pick a continental ticket at worst,” Eguma said.
The former Rivers United manager said he intends to surpass his past achievements which includes winning the league with Rivers United.
“Having achieved that in the past, I think I should be looking at something that will surpass my achievement and that is what the club is looking at achieving as well.
“So the club is also looking at surpassing their previous performance. Of course we have to achieve that collectively.
“Before the management will set a target for me, I have already set one for myself because I’m very ambitious and I feel I have a lot to offer,” he concluded.
Eguma led the Peoples Elephants to a sixth place finish last season after joining them following Yemi Olanrewaju’s exit. He has now signed a new contract to lead the side this coming season.
