2026 WCq: Ekong, Osimhen, 21 others make Chelle’s final list for Rwanda, S’Africa games

Super Eagles

Eric Chelle, Super Eagles head coach, has listed William Troost Ekong, Wilfred Ndidi, Victor Osimhen and 20 others in his final squad of 23 players for the World Cup qualifiers in September.

In a list made available to Sport Resonance on Friday, Stanley Nwabali makes the squad after he was reported to have been taken off in Chippa United’s last game but the goalkeeper is fit enough to make a return.

Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Obi are expected to give the team stability in midfield while Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman will lead Nigeria’s quest for goals.
