Enyimba FC has denied reports that it has slashed salaries of players by 50 percent over 2025/26 NPFL poor performance.Â
A report surfaced on Tuesday that the People’s Elephants have slashed salaries of their players following their home loss to Wikki Tourists of Bauchi. In a press release on Tuesday, the club said it remains committed to keeping the contractual agreements with the players.
“Enyimba FC wishes to categorically state that at no time did the management approve, initiate, or implement any salary reduction. The club remains fully committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in its relationship with players and staff.
“This report is purely a figment of the writer’s imagination and should be disregarded by the general public. As a professional club, Enyimba FC communicates all official decisions and updates exclusively through its verified channels,” the club said.
