Eric Chelle, Super Eagles coach says his team has worked hard in training and they will aim to implement everything the team has worked on, against Senegal.

Chelle spoke on Monday at the pre-match press conference. This is the first time the two giants will clash in the competition and the buildup to the game is gathering momentum.

“Our preparation for this game has been solid, and we will aim to implement everything we’ve worked on when we face Senegal,” Chelle said.

He said his team is focused and would take one game at a time, as he is currently not concerned about his next group opponents.

I don’t think it’s a derby, but this is a game between two big footballing nations in Africa. Senegal have a rich history, a strong generation of players, and a very good team.

“I don’t want to talk about Congo or Sudan for now. Our priority is our first match tomorrow. We want to take each game as it comes, step by step,” he added.

The Super Eagles B team will face defending champions Senegal in group D’s opening fiction Tuesday at 6pm
