Deborah Abiodun, Super Falcons and Dallas Trinity of USA midfield maestro, says Nigeria’s big win over Ghana’s Black Queens in a pre-WAFCON friendly was a good test and a step towards their aim for the tournament this year.

Abiodun popularly called Kante started the game which was Nigeria’s last tune up game before the WAFCON competition starts this weekend.

”it was a good training game especially playing against a team like Ghana, they bring the physicality and it’s very good for the team and am happy the team gets to play,” she said.

“The win is a step towards our main aim for this competition, like we just have to keep winning regardless, be it a friendly game or a big game.”

Nigeria outclassed their Ghanaian counterparts in every department of the game and could have scored a half dozen goals if they had taken their chances.

Goals from Chinwendu Ihezuo, Asisat Oshoala and captain, Rasheedat Ajibade was enough to settle yet another rivalry that has existed between the two powerful footballing nations on the continent.
