Daniela Feria-Estrada opened the scoring with a sublime free-kick before Olivia Chisholm’s thunderbolt doubled the advantage.
Second-half goals from Lacey Kindel, Marika Martineau, Julia Amireh, and an own goal sealed their progression.
France also secured qualification after a hard-fought 1–0 victory against Nigeria, thanks to Maissa Fathallah’s decisive 81st-minute strike.
The French side maintained composure under pressure and defended strongly to keep Nigeria at bay, ensuring their place in the next round.
Spain displayed their trademark flair and precision, cruising past Korea Republic 5–0 to confirm a last-16 berth.
Carlota Chacon scored twice, while Anna Quer, Julia Torres, and Silvia Cristobal all found the net in a dominant performance that underlined Spain’s title credentials.
Elsewhere, Japan and Paraguay also advanced to the knockout stage following impressive victories over Zambia and New Zealand respectively, while Colombia reignited their campaign with a 3–0 triumph against Côte d’Ivoire.
With these results, Canada, France, Spain, Italy, Japan, and Paraguay have now booked their spots in the round of 16, as the race for global glory intensifies in Morocco.
