Morocco are the first country to arrive in Kenya ahead of the CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The two-time champions arrived in Morocco on Sunday. They are one of the most successful countries in the competition, having won the tournament in back-to-back editions on home soil in 2018 and in 2021.
The Atlas Lions of Morocco are drawn in Group A of CHAN 2024 with hosts Kenya, Zambia and DR Congo. They will kick off their campaign against Angola on Sunday at the Nyayo National Stadium.
DR Congo, Angola and Zambia are expected to arrive in Nairobi in the coming days. Zambia are expected on Tuesday while DRC and Angola will arrive on Thursday afternoon.
The competition kicks off in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Saturday, 2nd August 2025. This is the first time the competition will be held in three countries; Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
Some teams like Nigeria are still in the final phase of preparations and are expected in the respective countries where they will play their group games.
