Khamisu Ahmad Mailantarki has expressed profound gratitude and a strong commitment to the growth of table tennis in Nigeria following his election as Vice President of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF).
The election, held on October 4, 2025, at the Media Centre of the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, was described as a demonstration of unity and collective purpose among delegates, officials, and stakeholders dedicated to advancing the sport nationwide.
In his post-election statement, Hon. Mailantarki commended the National Sports Commission (NSC) for ensuring transparency and fairness throughout the electoral process.
He also lauded President Wahid Enitan Oshodi of the African Table Tennis Federation for his supervisory role and commitment to maintaining integrity during the election.
Mailantarki extended special appreciation to outgoing NTTF President, Engr. Ishaku Tikon, for his visionary leadership, which, he said, laid a strong foundation for the federation’s continued growth.
He pledged his full support to the President-elect, Dr. Adesoji Tayo, noting that their shared vision and collaborative approach would be central to driving the sport’s development
“Our new board will prioritize grassroots development through school sports initiatives and strategic partnerships,” Mailantarki said.
“We believe these steps are crucial to expanding participation, enhancing acceptance, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of table tennis across Nigeria.”
He further reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of governance, promoting youth development, and enhancing Nigeria’s competitive presence on both the African and global stages.
