The National Sports Commission (NSC) on Thursday welcomed members of the Commonwealth Sport Bid Evaluation Committee to Abuja, Nigeria.
Their visit is part of Nigeria’s ongoing bid process for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission assured the committee that the country is eager to host the games which will see the country takes its place as a growing force in sports.
The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila hosted the Commonwealth delegation on behalf of President Tinubu and assured them of the readiness of Nigeria to host the Games.
The Commonwealth Sport (CS) delegation consisted of Darren Hall, Director of Games and Assurance and member of the 2030 Evaluation Commission; Ann-Louise Morgan, CS Director of Sport; and Ezera Tshabangu, CS Regional and Development Manager for Africa and Europe.
