Chiamaka Nnadozie, Brighton and Hove Albion goalkeeper has been nominated for the WSL Fans’ Player of the Month award for September.
The Super Falcons goalkeeper made a switch from Paris FC where she spent five years, to Brighton and has been a standout player for the club.
Nnadozie has been in goal five times this season for Brighton and has kept two clean sheets in the Barclays Women’s Super League. Top on the list is a draw against Manchester City where she made important saves to keep her side in the game.
The African women’s goalkeeper of the year finished fourth in the women’s Yashin Trophy category in the Balon d’or in September. She was also the goalkeeper of the tournament as Nigeria lifted their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.
She is nominated alongside Aggie Beever-Jones (Chelsea), Melvine Mallard (Manchester United), Allessia Russo (Arsenal), Bunny Shaw (Manchester United), and Cathinka Tandberg (Tottenham Hotspur).
