The Nigeria Scrabble Federation (NSF) has named four players to represent the country at the World Youth Scrabble championship in Malaysia.
The team consists two male and two female players, captained by Abdulqudus Aliu who has won multiple gold medals at the National Youth Games.
Alongside Abdulqudus are Prestige Archibong, Sophia Ekeruche and Joy Nwabuzor. Abdulqudus was part of the country’s contingent to the last World Youth Championship in Sri Lanka where he finished among the best 25 of the tournament.
Prestige Archibong recently won the U19 category at the African Youth Scrabble championship in Kenya. Sophia Ekeruche won the U15 category while Joy Nwabuzor was also a part of the team to the championship.
The World Youth Scrabble Championship will begin on the 30th of August and ends on the 1st of September, 2025.
