Martin Odegaard set a new Premier League record when he was substituted on Saturday in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over West Ham.
Ordegaard was withdrawn in the 30th minute, making him the first player in Premier League history to be substituted before half-time in three consecutive starts.
The Arsenal captain has battled injuries this season and has had to deal with a shoulder issue. The Norwegian was withdrawn after going knee-to-knew with West Ham forward, Crysencio Summerville.
In Arsenal’s game against Leeds, he was withdrawn in the 38th minute after landing awkwardly on his shoulder. He returned to the squad for the game against Nottingham Forest on September 13 and was pulled out in the 18th minute due to the shoulder problem.
Ordegaard made 45 appearances for Arsenal last season and was Arteta’s trusted player but his injury issues will be a cause of worry for the Spaniard.
