Ola Aina has signed a three-year new deal at Nottingham Forest which runs until 2028.

The former Torino of Italy defender joined Forest as a free agent in July 2023. He signed a one-year contract with an option to extend by one year.

Aina was a key member of Nuno Espirito Santo’s team and established himself as one of the finest defenders in the Premier League and started 35 out 38 games in the 2024/2025 EPL season.

Speaking to the club’s website after extending his contract, Aina said he felt at home at the club.

“I’m over the moon, I can’t wait to continue this journey with the club. It’s always felt like a home ever since I joined and I’m happy to be here. Now my focus is on preparing for the new season well and getting back to hard work.” Aina said.

On his part, owner of the club, Evangelos Marinakis appreciated Aina’s influence since he arrived at the club.

“Ola has skill, determination and character in abundance. He epitomises the culture and hard work we expect from everyone associated with Forest. He has had a big influence since his arrival here and we look forward to continuing that journey together to help us achieve incredible things.” He said.

Aina has been a big asset for the club, being able to play as a right back or a left. He also won possession in the defensive third in the 2024/2025 season more than any player in Europe’s top five leagues.
