Oshoala, Nnadozie; other Falcons players inspire Flamingos through videos

Super Falcons stars, Asisat Oshoala and Chiamaka Nnadozie sent in video messages to the Flamingos to encourage the girls ahead of their encounter with France on Wednesday. 

 

The team lost 4-1 to Canada on Sunday after going into the break with the game at 1-1. Six-time Africa Women’s Footballer of the Year, Asisat Oshoala and Chiamaka Nnadozie, two-time Africa Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year boosted the morale of the girls.

 

2022 U17 Women’s World Cup bronze medalists, Taiwo Afolabi and Miracle Usani also spoke with the girls, alongside former Falconet star, Folashade Ijamilusi and newcomer, Joy Omewa.

 

The team expressed confidence thereafter that they are battle-ready for the big game against France on Wednesday as victory for them keeps them fully in the competition.

 

Before the call from the Falcons players, the team held an intense training session where the coaches corrected the lapses noticed in the game against Canada and conducted tactical drills on defensive structure and game management
