Victor Osimhen, Stanley Nwabali and Daniel Bameyi have been nominated in different categories of the CAF Awards.Â
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced nominees in the various categories on Wednesday. The nominees have been selected based on their impact from January 6 to 15 October, 2025.
Galatasaray forward, Victor Osimhen was nominated in the Men’s Player of the Year category. He will face stiff competition from Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi (PSG) and Egypt’s Mohammed Salah (Liverpool). Others in the category are; Fiston Mayele (Dr Congo/Pyramids), Illiman Ndiaye (Senegal, Everton), Andre Frank Anguissa (Cameroon, Napoli).
Stanley Nwabali was nominated for the Goalkeeper of the Year Award. He battles Cameroon’s Andre Onana, Egypt’s Mohammed El Shanawy, Yassine Honour, Edouard Meny, Ronwen Williams, Marc Diouf and Aymen Dahmen.
Daniel Bameyi, Flying Eagles captain to the FIFA U20 World Cup was nominated in the Men’s Young Player of the Year category.
