Poland 2026: Falconets to resume camping in Abuja this weekend

Falconets, Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team, will resume their training camp in Abuja this weekend, ahead of the two-legged 2026 FIFA U20 women’s World Cup  qualifying fixtures against Rwanda in September, sportresonance.com, reports.

The team will assemble under the current head coach, Moses Aduku, who replaced Christopher Danjuma as the new handler of the Falconets last week.

The Falconets, were drawn bye into the second round judging by their strong records at the FIFA U-20 women’s competition, having qualified for the World Cup 11 times and finished as runners-up twice on previous occasions.

Meanwhile, Rwanda earned their place by beating Zimbabwe in the first round after a 2-1 away win in Harare, while they played out a goalless draw in the reverse fixture in Kigali.

Rwanda will host Nigeria in the first leg of the African qualifiers at the Pele Stadium in Kigali on Sunday, September 21, while the Lekan Salami Stadium will stage the second leg encounter on September 27 , in Ibadan.

Winner from this double-header will proceed to face either Senegal or Algeria in the third and final round of the qualifiers.
