Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has announced the signing of Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade.

The French club unveiled the forward on Tuesday. Ajibade joins the clubs on a deal which runs until June 2027. She left Atletico Madrid at the end of last season after four years.

She started her football career with FC Robo of Lagos under the watchful eyes of Emmanuel Osahon before playing for the Flamingos at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in 2016 and becoming a breakout star in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL).

The former Avaldnes of Norway striker said she will give her best to help PSG win titles.

“I’m deeply honoured to be joining Paris Saint-Germain, a top-drawer club in Europe. This is a major step for me, and I’m committed to giving my all to help PSG win titles and to inspire young footballers, be they in Nigeria or elsewhere,” she told the club’s media after the deal was confirmed.

Ajibade led the Super Falcons to their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in July in Morocco and has over 30 caps so far for the Super Falcons.
