‎Victorious Super Falcons of Nigeria have arrived the country, following their exploits, winning their 10th WAFCON title on Saturday in Casablanca, Morocco.
‎It was a heartwarming moment as tens and thousands of fans and supporters thronged the international wing of the Nnamdi Azikwe airport to welcome home the reigning African champions.
A federal government delegation led by the secretary to the government of the federation, Hon George Akume, Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma, the Chairman and DG of the National Sports Commission, Malam Shehu Dikko, and Honorable Bukola Olopade, plus other high and ranked government officials were on ground to receive the team.
‎Many supporters, clad in the Super Falcons’s kits and waving the green and white flags, had waited hours to see their heroes.
The team will be heading to the Presidential Villa to meet Mr President, his Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
Meanwhile, the NSC has planned a live concert by 7pm, at the Eagles square for the Super Falcons, with top celebrities expected to perform and thrill fans in honor of the ladies.
