U20 World Cup: Zubair lists Daga, Harcourt, 19 others in final squad

Aliyu Zubair, head coach of the Flying Eagles, has listed Ifeanyi Ebenezer, Ahmed Akinyele and 19 others in his final world cup squad.

 

In a list made available on Monday by the NFF, Zubair has given nod to new foreign based players. Former Akwa United forward, Sani Suleiman and former Enyimba midfielder Daniel Daga made the cut.

 

The 21 players are:

 

Goalkeepers: Ifeanyi Ebenezer Harcourt (Sporting Lagos); Rufai Abubakar (Mavlon FC); Clinton Ezekiel (Bayelsa United).

 

Defenders: Odinaka Okoro (Sporting Lagos); Daniel Bameyi (Primorje Ajdovščina, Slovenia); Freedom Marvellous (Ikorodu City); Ahmed Akinyele (Remo Stars); Azuka Alanta (Hypebuzz Academy); Amos Echoche (Stade Reims B, France)

 

Midfielders: Israel Isaac Ayuma (NK Istra, Croatia); Emmanuel Ekele (PFC Montana, Bulgaria); Kamaldeen Mustapha (Kwara Football Academy); Auwal Ibrahim (unattached); Daniel Daga (Molde, Norway).

 

Forwards: Tahir Maigana (Wireless FC); Kparobo Nathaniel Arierhi (Lillestrom SK, Norway); Orseer Achihi (Royal Antwerp, Belgium); Sani Suleiman (AS Trencin, Slovakia); Charles Agada (NK Istra, Croatia); Nasiru Salihu (NK Gabala, Azerbaijan); Shittu Abdullahi.

 

The team will have a training camp in Chile before the U20 World Cup which begins from 27th September to 20th October 2025. The Flying Eagles will open their campaign against Norway on September 29th.
