Weekend of goals for Falcons players as Alozie, Ohale and Ihezuo score

It was a weekend of goals from Super Falcons players as Ihezuo, Ohale, Alozie and Ikechukwu registered their names on the scoresheet.

 

Osinachi Ohale scored her second consecutive goal for Pachuca Femenil after returning from the WAFCON. the central defender was key to Pachuca’s superb comeback victory. Maria Sanchez opened scoring for Tigres before Veronica Corral converted a penalty after Ihezuo was fouled by the Tigres goalkeeper.

 

Ohale scored in the 47th minute to give Pachuca the lead before Diana Ordonez equalized for the hosts but Ihezuo grabbed the winner in the 76th minute.

 

Still in Mexico, Vivian Ikechukwu scored the consolation for Santa Laguna in their 3-1 loss to Monterrey. Her 90th minute goal was not enough for a comeback as the hosts added another goal late into stoppage time.

 

Michelle Alozie scored a late winner for Houston Dash in the third minute of added time. The winger got the ball after lurking around the box and lifted it past the goalkeeper to send the crowd into a frenzy.

 

In Sweden, Super Falcons duo, Halimatu Ayinde and Anam Imo started for Rosengard in their 2-1 loss to Kristianstads DFF away from home. Ayinde was replaced by Sorbo in the 84th minute while Imo finished the game. The result leaves Rosengard at 8th position.

 

Esther Okoronkwo struck the woodwork in the 59th minute in AFC Toronto’s 0-1 loss at home to Vancouver Rise FC. Jessica De Filipo gave the visitors the lead despite being a player down.

 

Jasmyne Spencer was shown a second yellow card for a dangerous foul on Okoronkwo in the 39th minute but the visitors held on, with their goalkeeper making six saves to keep the hosts at bay.
