Ladan Bosso, Barau FC head coach says his team deserved victory against Enyimba in their NPFL Match Day 1 match decided at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano on Sunday.

Ladan Bosso’s Barau FC played their first ever NPFL game in a parked crowd at the stadium but the game produced no goal, with both sides hitting the woodwork and Enyimba reduced to 10 men.

“The result was not what we expected but we thank God for the goalless draw. We deserved to win this match because our players gave their best.

“But that’s football. If Enyimba can come to Kano and pick up a point, then we also have the chance to go anywhere and get points,” he said.

The President of Nigeria’s Coaches Association also talked about the club’s next game against Bayelsa United and says he is returning to a place he knows so well after leading the side last season to keep their NPFL status.

“Bayelsa United is my former team. I know them well and they also know me. Going to Yenagoa is not new to me, and I hope we return to Kano with points from Bayelsa,” he concluded.

Bosso’s next challenge will be a trip to Yenagoa to face Bayelsa United which stunned Shooting Stars on Sunday at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Sunday, taking all three points.
