Mary Akinsola, a media and public relations expert, has been appointed as the media officer of the Super Falcons.
In a statement on Thursday, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), confirmed Akinsola’s appointment.
Akinsola brings over ten years of experience in communications and sports management to the role, having previously worked with Warner Bros Discovery (Eurosport) as a production/commentary coordinator.
She also worked with UK’s sports gazette as a sports writer, editor and digital media manager.
She is also the podcast host and a writer with ACL sports.
 She also had a stint with Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State as a sportscaster, writer and producer before she left to further her studies in the United Kingdom.
Akinsola, who holds a master’s degree in international sports journalism from St. Mary’s University, London has managed production communications for Eurosport during a number of major sporting events, including the Olympic Games, tennis grand slams, the English Premier League and major European club competitions.

She joins an ambitious squad that is targeting a record-extending 10thcontinental title, when the 13th Women Africa Cup of Nations finals commences in Morocco on 5th July.
She believes her passion for the game and ceaseless quest for excellence matches those of the Super Falcons, and is committed to promoting the Nigeria senior women team’s story and connecting with stakeholders and supporters globally.  Â
