Shooting Stars unveil Nurudeen Aweroro as new head coach

Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan have announced Nurudeen Aweroro as the new head coach of the side.

The Oluyole Warriors made this public on Friday after long speculation in the media about who replaces Gbenga Ogunbote after the club announced that they have parted ways with the manager.

 

Aweroro joins Shooting Stars from Lagos based side, Ikorodu City after leading the club to a fourth place finish in the 2024/2025 season.

He was assistant to former Ikorodu City coach, Bright Ozebagbe and was appointed head coach when Ozebagbe left the side after five games.

Taiwo Salami replaced Dimeji Lawal as the Ibadan-based side’s general manager.  As part of the rejigging going with the club, a new sporting director is expected to be named in the coming days too.

 

The club has also made changes to their media department, appointing Ibrahim Akindele as Media Lead. These changes, the club said is to position the iconic team on the path of victory
